Svenjollies improv comedy troupe is Holland Michigan’s only professional comedy team. Produced and directed by Alex Ritzema Productions, LLC. the Svenjollies deliver sidesplitting, clean and clever comedy. Not since The Marx Brothers have you seen such an amazing blend of verbal wit matched perfectly with silly slapstick humor.
The Svenjollies perform several popular one-act, fully improvised, plays that transform the life of an ordinary audience volunteer into a comedy experience no one will ever forget. Cold Feet (An improvised wedding & marriage) and Paparazz-Me! (Satire about instant celebrity) are among the most popular. They also regularly perform their signature short form improv show, Do The Happy Trance!, as well as, improvised murder mysteries to the delight of both public and private audiences.
The individual members of the troupe bring with them many years of comedy and theater experience, including training at The Second City and stand-up comedy. The members of the Svenjollies are: Theresa Glass, Julianne Howe-Bouwens, Lindsay Pals, Alex Ritzema, and David Tilley.
