Theresa Glass has been improvising for over 7 years. She is also an actor, director, and producer in many other productions; and has been known to do some killer stand-up comedy. As a clerical assistant at an OB/GYN office (does that make you itch?) she's good at alphabetizing, transferring calls and listening to patient’s problems with a concerned face while laughing on the inside. She and Chad have been married for 14 years (ugga mugga!) and have quick witted, sassy kids (give it up for maternal genes!): Carter, Ellie and Jake. She loves camping with her family & thinks early-mornings, cats & housework are unnecessary.
Alex Ritzema is the creator and director of the Svenjollies. A graduate of the famed Second City theater conservatory in Chicago, Alex is an accomplished improviser and performs original stand-up comedy. A motivational humorist, Alex utilizes the power of humor to help organizations creatively communicate, motivate and collaborate. In his spare time, Alex tirelessly campaigns for his cause to get others to use the phrase, “Like a banshee…” correctly. So, before you think you’re doing something like a banshee, remember they are known for their screaming, and that’s about it. Visit his website at www.alexritzema.com
Lindsay Pals, a hula dancer since before she had lady hips, joined the Svenjollies in 2009 after improvising all four years at Calvin College. One of six children, a daughter of a pastor, and an avid people watcher (aka stalker), she delights in building her repertoire with hilarious truths about her life and some lies. A background in singing, fine art, and left-handedness she is an expert calculator operator. Lindsay also works as a freelance graphic designer and is just recently finished teaching English in China!
Julianne Howe-Bouwens is an actress and likes to be funny. As a new member of the Svenjollies, she enjoys Moscato, massages, musicals, and Godiva (hint, hint). For 8 years she’s been professionally performing/on the run in places like The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Hangar Theatre (NY), England (various regions), and La Universidad de Sevilla (Spain). Her professional aspirations include performing on a cruise ship as a lounge singer (the real kind that lays across a piano in a sequined gown), being slain in a horrific but artistic way in Saw XVII, and jumping on Oprah’s couch – in her home.
David Tilley graduated college in 2010 (What is this, a resume?) where he performed with an up and coming improv group (That was so up and coming it had no name?). He now works in creative media and specializes in graphic design, video, social media, and illustration ~ see hiretilley.com (What, no book to sell?) He is excited to add a youthful flare (Youthful = immature & flare = ?) to the Svenjollies and continues to pursue further endeavors in comedy.(Snarky comments provided free of charge by Alex.)
